Diocese of Chester

Our parish is part of the anglican diocese of Chester in the Church of England.  Chester Diocese is split into two archdeaconries: Chester in the West (where our parish is situated) and Macclesfield in the east.

The diocesan bishop is Rt Revd Mark Tanner, who is assisted by senior staff in each archdeaconry.  In the Chester Archdeaconry the suffragan (assistant) bishop is Julie Conalty and the archdeacon is the Ven Dr Michael Gilbertson.  In the Macclesfield Archdeaconry the suffragan bishop is Sam Corley and the archdeacon is the Ven Ian Bishop.

The diocese has an excellent website, full of news and helpful information for parishes: click here to visit it.
